And the best place to work in Israel is – Philip Morris Israel Ltd. The Israeli representative of the international company best known for its many brands of cigarettes “provides exceptional employee conditions, nurtures and develops talent throughout all levels of the organization and has demonstrated its leadership status in the human resources environment, always striving to optimize its employment practices and to develop its employees.”
That is the judgement of Top Employers, an international group that certifies organizations for their employees’ working conditions – examining the conditions for workers in companies, including methods of work review, opportunities for advancement, on the job perks and benefits, and managerial review and process.
Only one other company in Israel – SAP, a high-tech firm – has received a coveted Top Employers endorsement, joining dozens of multinational firms such as Volvo, Samsung, and Unilever.
Speaking to Maariv, Daniel Alfan, CEO of Philip Morris Israel, said that the company was “proud to receive this recognition. Our company invests a great deal in helping workers advance, as they are our most important resource. For us, any prize or recognition on our efforts is greatly appreciated.”
