A Palestinian man died on Monday when a tunnel he was trying to fix collapsed, according to Palestinian medical and security sources cited by Israeli media.
The incident occurred in Gaza, near the Egyptian border.
Egypt and Israel have recently been working together to flood and destroy the numerous smuggling tunnels that have been dug by Palestinians, including many by Hamas, in the Gaza Strip.
The man who died, Mussa Jaber al-Maadi, 24, was attempting to restore the tunnel after it had been damaged by Egyptian flooding. He is the tenth Palestinian to die in tunnel collapses during the past couple of weeks.
