Levayah of Harav Belsky to Continue to Eretz Yisrael

After thousands took part in the levayah of Hagaon Harav Chaim Yisrael Belsky, zt”l, in Brooklyn on Friday, another small levayah is to be held on Motzoei Shabbos, at 9:30 p.m., where there will be an opportunity to escort and pay kavod acharon to the Rosh Yeshivah at JFK EL-AL Cargo.

Kevurah will be in Eretz Yisrael on Sunday.

The plane with the aron of Harav Belsky is set to arrive around 5 p.m. (Israel time) Sunday.

The levayah will be held in Yerushalayim, and is to start with hespedim at Yeshivas Mir in Yerushalayim, at approximately 6:45 p.m. Thousands of bnei Torah, talmidim and alumni of Yeshivas Torah Vodaath are slated to attend. Many Rabbanim and Roshei Yeshivah from across Eretz Yisrael will also be in attendance.

From there, the levayah will proceed and pass Yeshivas Kamenitz on its way to Har Hamenuchos.

The family accompanying the aron to Eretz Yisrael will be sitting shivah in Kiryat Sefer, Sunday night and Monday morning for Shacharis, after which they will return to New York and sit shivah in his home  506 East 7th St. The address for shivah in Kiryat Sefer is Rechov Sdei Chemed 36/1.
