An IDF soldier was injured Tuesday afternoon in what initially appeared to be a terror ramming attack. The incident occurred at Maccabees Checkpoint on Road 443, near the Palestinian village of Beit Ur al-Tahta, close to Beit Horon – the scene of a double stabbing Monday that resulted in the murder of 23-year-old Shlomit Krigman, Hy”d. According to Israel Radio reports, an Arab vehicle rammed into an IDF checkpoint at the entrance to the town. Soldiers opened fire at the vehicle, and the driver drove the car away and fled to a nearby village. One IDF soldier was lightly wounded. Later, the IDF downgraded the incident, saying it was a case of a stolen car.
