25 Summonses Issued in NYC for Defying Travel Ban
The NYPD issued 25 summonses to drivers who defied a travel ban during the weekend storm.
Chief of Department James O’Neill says eight summonses were issued in Manhattan, five in Brooklyn, 11 in the Bronx and one on Staten Island. The ban went into effect on Saturday and was lifted Sunday morning.
For one Brooklyn man, the summons was probably the least of his concerns. O’Neill says the man was speeding and ran two red lights, and had been drinking.
