New York-Presbyterian Gets $75M for Women-Newborns Hospital

NEW YORK (AP) —

NewYork-Presbyterian has received a $75 million gift to establish a new hospital for pre- and post-natal care.

The Alexandra & Steven Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns is expected to be open to patients by 2020.

It will be housed in the David H. Koch Center at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell campus.

The announcement Wednesday said that, among other things, it will be the first facility in New York City with MRI capabilities and an operating room in its neonatal intensive care unit.

The gift is from the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation.
