7th Ave. at 53rd St. in Manhattan Closed Until Tuesday
Seventh Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Streets in Midtown Manhattan will remain closed at least until Tuesday morning after debris fell from the Sheraton New York hotel.
The Sheraton New York hotel is located at 811 Seventh Avenue, between West 52nd and West 53rd Streets. Two 4X8-foot metal pieces of debris fell from the 46th floor of the hotel onto parked cars below, early Monday morning.
No one was hurt by the falling debris.
Access to 53rd Street is blocked as well. Sheraton is instructing all guests to enter the hotel through the parking garage entrance on 52nd Street.
