Nassau Dems Endorse Assemblyman Kaminsky for Skelos Seat

MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) —

The Nassau Democratic Committee on Tuesday unanimously endorsed Assemblyman Todd Kaminsky to run for the seat vacated by ex-Senate Leader Dean Skelos.

Party chairman Jay Jacobs cited Kaminsky’s experience. The Long Beach Democrat was acting deputy chief of the Public Integrity Section for the Office of the U.S. Attorney of the Eastern District of New York.

The Nassau Republican Committee says it plans to begin screening candidates soon.
