Stabbing Attack Thwarted At Tapuah Junction
A stabbing attack was prevented at the last moment, b’chasdei Shamayim, when a terrorist arrived at a military checkpoint at the Tapuah Junction in the Shomron on Monday afternoon wielding a kitchen knife.
IDF soldiers spotted him, saw that he was hesitating suspiciously, and ordered him to lie down on the ground or they would shoot. The man complied, and a search revealed the knife.
The terrorist, a 26-year-old Palestinian from Jenin, was transferred to security forces for interrogation. He later confessed that he had come to the checkpoint for the purpose of stabbing an Israeli soldier.
