Stabbing Attack Thwarted at Tapuach Junction
A stabbing attack was prevented, b’chasdei shamayim, at the Tapuach Junction in the Shomron on Monday afternoon, when a terrorist arrived at the military checkpoint wielding a kitchen knife.
The IDF soldiers spotted him, saw that he was hesitating suspiciously, and ordered him to lie down on the ground, or they would shoot. The man complied, and a search of his pockets revealed the knife.
The terrorist, a 26-year-old Palestinian from Jenin, was transferred to security forces for interrogation. He later confessed that he had come to the checkpoint for the purpose of stabbing an Israeli soldier.
