Sidecar is Quitting the Ride-Hailing Game

(Los Angeles Times/TNS) -

San Francisco on-demand transportation company Sidecar called it quits on Tuesday, with co-founder and chief executive Sunil Paul announcing on Medium that the company will cease ride-hailing and delivery operations at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Paul did not specify the reason Sidecar was exiting the ride-hailing business, and said that while “this is the end of the road for the Sidecar ride and delivery service … it’s by no means the end of the journey for the company.”

Sidecar’s head of communications Margaret Ryan said the company was not offering comment beyond Paul’s Medium post.
