Residents Back Home After Gas Leak Contained in Boro Park

NEW YORK (AP) -

Residents of four Boro Park buildings are back home after being evacuated due to a gas leak.

Authorities say the leak was contained by Thursday morning and tenants were allowed back inside the buildings.

They had been evacuated Wednesday night after a gaping hole was discovered in the high pressure gas main under 64th Street between 11th and 12 Avenues.

There were no injuries.
