64th St. Bet. 11th & 12th Aves. in Boro Park Closed Due to Gas Leak
64th Street between 11th and 12th Avenues in Boro Park was closed off Wednesday night due to a gas leak in the area, reported ABC7.
Four buildings on the block – 1114, 1116, 1120 and 1122 64th Street have been evacuated.
The FDNY responded to reports of a gas odor, and confirmed that there were elevated levels of carbon monoxide, reported NBC4.
The Office of Emergency Management, Fire Department, and National Grid are on the scene, trying to isolate the source of the leak; it is believed to be coming from 1114 64th Street.
No injuries have been reported.
