Palestinian terror descended on two elderly Jewish pedestrians, in Rishon LeTzion and Netanya, on Monday afternoon, in stabbings in which four people in all were wounded.

On Herzl Street in the large coastal city of Rishon LeTzion, a 19-year-old from Chevron committed serial stabbings: an 80-year-old woman, a man in his mid-30s, and a man in his mid-20s. The first two were reportedly hurt seriously, while the third victim suffered light injuries.

The terrorist first stabbed a 35-year-old man on a street corner, then moved on to a nearby business street, where he stabbed and lightly wounded another person. He then set upon an 80-year-old woman outside a store, inflicting severe wounds.

Passersby seized the terrorist and held him down until police came to arrest him.

A widely disseminated video from a security camera showed one of the stabbings, some people fleeing, and the frenzied chase after the terrorist that began immediately.

Senior MDA paramedic Yoni Ohayun told reporters: “When we arrived at the scene we saw an 80-year-old woman lying near a bakery on the floor on Herzl Street. She was fully conscious and suffering from a stab wound to her upper body. We provided first aid and evacuated her to Asaf Haropeh hospital in moderate-serious condition.”

Paramedics also treated a number of bystanders for shock.

Dozens of people gathered at the scene after the wounded were evacuated to hospital, holding up images of Meir Kahane and shouting “death to terrorists,” according to Ynet.

A few hours later, in Netanya, a 70-year-old man was stabbed and seriously wounded.

Police shot and wounded the terrorist, identified as a Palestinian resident of Tulkarm.

Earlier in the day, a knife-wielding terrorist was shot and killed after he lunged at a group of soldiers near the Gilboa crossing near Jenin.

The attack occurred after soldiers from the Bedouin Desert Battalion noticed two suspicious men at a nearby gas station, about 150 yards from the crossing, and stopped them for a security check.

One of the men took out a knife and ignored warnings to lay down the weapon. Soldiers opened fire, striking and injuring him, while a second suspect was arrested.

The injured terrorist received medical aid on the scene, but later died of his wounds, according to media reports.

This attack marked the third at the Gilboa crossing in the last 10 days. On Shabbos, a Defense Ministry Crossings Authority guard killed a Palestinian terrorist at the site.

According to a Defense Ministry spokesman, the incident occurred when an armed Palestinian terrorist ambushed a security guard after hiding behind a taxi.

After ignoring repeated orders to stop and drop his weapon, the officer opened fire and killed him.

In Yerushalayim, a tour guide was assaulted with a bottle by a Palestinian man, age 22, outside Jaffa Gate of the Old City.

Border Police arrested a suspect shortly afterward.

The victim in the incident was reportedly lightly wounded and was evacuated to Hadassah University Medical Center with a head injury.
