A three-year-old boy from Bnei Brak was tragically killed on Thursday afternoon in a large traffic accident involving four vehicles at the Hasirah Junction on Highway 2.
The child, a”h, was together with three other family members, who were returning home for Shabbos from a vacation. All were evacuated to the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, where, sadly, medical personnel pronounced the death of the boy.
The boy’s mother and his one-year-old baby brother were lightly to moderately wounded, and the father was lightly wounded in the crash.
The chain crash, which left seven wounded in various states, led to heavy buildup of traffic on the major coastal highway.
Police investigators arrived at the scene of the crash and launched an investigation into the accident. From initial findings, it appears that all members of the family were wearing seatbelts.
