11 Children, 3 Adults Injured In School Bus Crash

IRVINGTON, N.J. (AP) —

More than a dozen people were hurt Thursday morning when a school bus full of children collided with an SUV, slamming into a building in Irvington, N.J.

The bus driver told investigators that the brakes failed and she lost control of the bus. There were 11 children and two adults on the bus at the time of the crash. All of them were taken to hospitals, but police say none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. The SUV’s driver was also treated.
