NYC Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of Sanitation Worker

NEW YORK (AP) —

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Wednesday ordered flags flown at half-staff in honor of a sanitation enforcement sergeant who died on the job.

Frank Musella, 37, died Wednesday after commenting on the heat, which was in the 90s. But department spokeswoman Belinda Mager said it’s not yet known what caused his death, and whether it was related to the weather.

Musella, hired in October 2006, is survived by his wife and two sons, ages 8 and 4.
