N.J. GOP Raises More Cash Than Democrats
New Jersey Republicans have raised and spent more than their Democratic counterparts through the end of June, the Election Law Enforcement Commission said in a statement Friday.
The GOP’s Senate and Assembly organizations raised $1.3 million and spent about $1.1 million since January. Their Democratic counterparts raised about $1.2 million and spent roughly $900,000 in the same period.
Assembly seats are at the top of the ticket in November’s election for the first time since 1999. Experts say few districts are competitive and Republicans face a challenge in netting the nine seats to take the majority.
