NYC to Provide Mobile Drinking Fountains Until Labor Day
Thirsty New Yorkers needn’t worry.
A “Water-on-the-Go Program” launched by the city Tuesday brings portable drinking fountains to public plazas, parks and pedestrian areas during the summer months. The stops include City Hall, Union Square and Grand Army Plaza.
Commissioner Emily Lloyd says the program provides an alternative to sugary beverages and bottled water.
New Yorkers are encouraged to bring reusable bottles and mugs to fill with tap water at the mobile fountains.
