Hizbullah Denies IAF Attack
Israel would provide no official reaction to foreign media reports on Tuesday blaming the IAF for three separate air strikes in Syria, Lebanon and Rafah, Egypt.
One IDF source noted with a smile that “not everything that happens in the Middle East is our handiwork,” according to The Jerusalem Post.
In fact, Hizbullah later issued a denial that Israel had anything to do with the strike in Lebanon.
While the Lebanese news websites al-Nashra and The Daily Star claimed that Israeli warplanes attacked in Lebanese airspace Tuesday afternoon, causing a number of injuries, Hizbullah-affiliated al-Manar said it was untrue.
“Israel did not attack on our land,” a senior Hizbullah official was quoted as saying.
