N.J. Honors Police Officers Who Died in Line of Duty

Police officers from around New Jersey gathered Tuesday to remember colleagues who died in the line of duty.

The state’s Police Chiefs Foundation held its 31st annual memorial service in Ocean Grove’s Great Auditorium. Gov. Chris Christie delivered a keynote address in which he thanked officers for their sacrifice. His speech came one day after President Barack Obama was in Camden, where he praised police efforts to improve relationships with a poor community struggling with violence.
