Report: Chemical Weapons Reach Hizbullah Via Syria
Syria has apparently succeeded in transferring chemical weapons to Hizbullah, according to Israeli media reports on Monday.
According to the reports, chlorine gas bombs were smuggled to the Lebanese terrorist organization from Syria, evading IDF interception.
Assad regime forces have been using chlorine gas against civilians in the civil war there, notwithstanding an arrangement proposed by Moscow and backed by the Obama administration to remove its chemical weapons.
Photos from Syria over the past week show villagers in the Idlib area wearing gas masks and Civil Defense officials carrying a spent chlorine gas canister.
Said Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon on Monday: “We do not allow the transfer of chemical weapons — chlorine bombs … to various terror organizations.”
