Greenfield Hosting Tree Giveaway on Sunday
Councilman David Greenfield is hosting a tree giveaway this Sunday at the Boro Park Y. The event, held in partnership with MillionTreesNYC and the New York Restoration Project, will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. or until the 100 available trees have been distributed.
Four species of trees are available — Atlantic White Cedar, Common Witchhazel, Japanese Snowbell and Flowering Dogwood.
Sunday’s event is limited to one tree per household.
The tree must be planted on private property within New York City and cannot be planted along streets, in city parks, in containers or on rooftops.
