Torah Umesorah Hosts Presidential Candidate Rand Paul

Torah Umesorah on Monday hosted Sen. Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican who is running for president, at its office on Foster Avenue in Midwood.
Paul, a close friend of Torah Umesorah’s Rabbi Nate Segal, was introduced by Dr. Richard Roberts, who hosted the lunch. It was followed by a question and answer period on topics ranging from Iran to school choice.
Paul said he thought the ouster of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was a “mistake,” since it bolstered Iran. He also defended his position on foreign aid to Israel.
