Greenfield Urges MTA to Pull Inappropriate Ads

BROOKLYN (Hamodia staff) —

Councilman David Greenfield on Tuesday said he asked the MTA to remove a series of inappropriate ads from the F subway lines that travel through the Orthodox communities of Boro Park and Midwood.

Greenfield said he has received numerous complaints from residents who have been shocked to see the ads, from clothing company Lane Bryant.

“Our local neighborhoods are not Times Square,” the Brooklyn Democrat said. “These are where families live and children walk the streets.”

The MTA routinely turns down ads that they deem inappropriate, Greenfield said.
