4-Year-Old Terror Victim Passes Away

YERUSHALAYIM (Hamodia Staff) —

Adelle Biton Hy”d, the four-year-old victim of a terrorist attack two years ago, passed away on Tuesday from pneumonia at Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petach Tikvah.

She was critically injured in a rock attack which left her with severe neurological damage, and was described as largely unresponsive since then. In the attack, which occurred near Ariel in the Shomron in March 2013, the vehicle she was riding in was struck by rocks and veered off the road and crashed into a truck. Five suspects were arrested in connection with the attack.

She was admitted earlier this week to Schneider for treatment, and transferred to intensive care on Tuesday.

“Two years ago, we had a great miracle here, and that is what I long for,” Adele’s mother, Adva, told Arutz Sheva earlier on Tuesday afternoon. “Adele is here, and she is fighting.”

“She is between heaven and earth right now,” her mother said. “The situation is not simple, unfortunately. We never dreamed we would be here again, but there are things that are out of our control.”

“We are only flesh and blood, and I pray to the Creator that whatever He decides, it’s for the best. We are small here and really do not understand. … I … pray for the Jewish people, here and abroad, who have been so helpful as we navigate this complicated time.”
