NEW YORK – About 100 people were evacuated from a building in Washington Heights Monday night after a manhole explosion raised carbon monoxide levels, NBC reported. The cause wasn’t clear but cold weather was a factor Monday in a manhole cover flying into the air in Park Slope.
NYC Hospital Faces $201,000 In Fines Over Dirty Laundry
NEW YORK – NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital faces a $201,000 fine for exposing workers to blood and bodily fluids in dirty laundry, OSHA said. They said that management was aware of torn bags but did nothing.
