Thirteen-Year-Old From Beitar Illit Killed in Storm

YERUSHALAYIM (HAMODIA STAFF) —

Thirteen-year-old Moshe Peretz, z”l, from Beitar Illit was killed in what appeared to be a storm-related traffic accident on Wednesday.

Witnesses said that the car he was riding in was hit by a bus that had veered out of control on the road made slick by sleet and snow.

Two other people in a third vehicle — a 52-year-old man and a 16-year-old teen — were also injured in the accident, which occurred on Highway 375 between Tzur Hadassah and Beit Shemesh. Both were reported in fair condition.

A police spokesperson said that the reason for the accident was still being investigated, but that it seemed to have been caused by the treacherous road conditions.

The levayah for Moshe Peretz was scheduled for Wednesday evening in the Beit Shemesh cemetery.
