Felder Launching Clean-Up Project Of 18th Avenue

BROOKLYN (Hamodia Staff) —

With broom in hand, state Sen. Simcha Felder on Monday will begin the cleaning up of Boro Park’s 18th Avenue by developmentally disabled adults.

“Project Sweep” is paid for with $100,000 in funding from Felder. Among those joining him outside Goldberg’s supermarket at 5007 18th Ave. are Assemblyman Dov Hikind and Councilman David Greenfield.

“A clean and litter-free commercial area instills community pride and encourages more people to visit and shop, which is a win for the neighborhood,” Felder said.

Project Sweep workers will be on 18th Avenue every Monday through Friday morning to spruce up the strip from McDonald Avenue to 65th Street.
