De Blasios Make Surprise Visit to Killing Scene
Mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife on Tuesday morning quietly visited the place where two New York City police officers were shot to death.
De Blasio and first lady Chirlane McCray spent several minutes at the site, with de Blasio folding his hands before him and standing with his head bowed, while McCray placed flowers among dozens of tributes.
The mayor and his wife were silent when reporters asked them to comment as they left.
