Dozens of Tire Slashings Has Flatbush on Edge
Dozens of cars had their tires slashed overnight Motzoei Shabbos in Flatbush, leaving the community on edge, according to a local group.
The Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition said they are offering an award for information that help find the perpetrators.
“This is more than just an inconvenience or petty vandalism,” said FJCC chairman Josh Mehlman. “There is significant financial damage, as well as a terrible sense of lost security.”
Councilman Chaim Deutsch said he is working closely with detectives as they view the many surveillance cameras in the area.
Police commanders say that all signs indicate the slashings are not a bias incident.
