Hamas Fires Test Missiles From Gaza To Mediterranean Sea
The military wing of Hamas conducted four test launches of missiles that it has produced itself. Three of them were tested on Wednesday night, and the fourth early Thursday morning. All the missiles were fired from within the Gaza Strip to the Mediterranean Sea, where they fell.
Senior IDF officials have conceded Hamas has resumed producing missiles and that the launches are intended to evaluate how far the missiles can reach. According to the army officials, the tests are part of their preparations for future confrontations with Israel.
The IDF picked up the launches on its radar systems. No air raid sirens were triggered in Israel because it was clear from the onset that the missiles were heading for the sea.
