NY Hall Pays Fine for Moral Value Stance

ALBANY (AP/Hamodia) —

A rural New York wedding venue whose owners were fined $13,000 for refusing to host an event they considered immoral has stopped booking ceremonies.

Liberty Ridge Farm’s owners, citing constitutional rights to free speech and religious freedom, have appealed the August ruling by the Division of Human Rights that they violated state anti-discrimination law.

“The judge just ignored all our constitutional and religious arguments,” said attorney James Trainor Monday.
