Republican gubernatorial hopeful Rob Astorino said Thursday that a New York Times expose of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s role in a post-Sandy inquiry shows his rival “has a real problem with honesty.”
The story found Cuomo aides changed language in a 2013 report prepared by an anti-corruption commission probing the Long Island Power Authority’s response to Sandy. A Cuomo spokeswoman said the charges were superficial.
Cuomo has since dismantled the Moreland Commission, a move federal prosecutors are investigating.
