Christie Stumps for Foley
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the chairman of the Republican Governors Association, is returning to Connecticut to campaign for GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley as his group invests heavily in the hotly contested race.
Christie, a frequent political sparring partner of Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, was scheduled Tuesday to make a campaign stop with Foley in Stamford and appear at a fundraising event for the Connecticut Republican Party.
Christie visited Connecticut in July to campaign for Foley during the GOP primary. At the time, he said Connecticut is an important race for the RGA.
