Call for Rosh Hashanah Tefillos for Jonathan Pollard
As Rosh Hashanah approaches, a call has gone out for special tefillos on behalf of Jonathan Pollard, who continues to languish in a federal prison after 29 years and is in failing health.
Israel’s Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Dovid Lau joined the former Sephardi Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, z”l, in an appeal to Jewish communities everywhere to offer their prayers for his release from prison at the time of the Torah reading on Rosh Hashanah.
The public is asked to daven for Yehonason Pollard ben Malka, that Hashem should deliver him from captivity to freedom, from darkness to great light, and to heal all his afflictions.
