Anti-Islamic Ads Coming to NYC Subways
Anti-Islamic ads will appear this week on 100 New York City buses and subway entrances, but MTA officials rejected an ad that accuse them of “killing Jews.”
The six approved ads show beheaded journalist James Foley standing next to his killer. They are paid for by Pamela Geller’s American Freedom Defense Initiative to highlight points about Islam ignored by the media.
A court order forces the MTA to run viewpoint ads, although it requires a disclaimer saying it doesn’t endorse the views. They rejected an ad with the quote “Killing Jews is Worship that draws us close to All-h” because it could incite violence.
