USPS Apologizes For 46th St. Mail Threat
Backing off from a threat to stop mail delivery to some residents of Boro Park with low mail slots, the U.S. Postal Service issued an assurance that service will continue as usual, regardless of where their mail slots are.
During a visit to Midwood Wednesday, Frank Calabrese, district manager of the USPS Triboro District, along with other postal officials, apologized for the letter to residents of 46th Street and guaranteed that the matter had been resolved.
Calabrese said the letter was written by “an over enthusiastic” manager who had not followed protocols.
