Man Arrested For Scaling Fence at JFK

NEW YORK (AP) -

A New Jersey man has been arrested after he scaled a fence surrounding Kennedy Airport.

William Deene was charged with criminal trespass after an airport worker noticed him scaling a fence at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The 22-year-old Perth Amboy man also set off a perimeter alarm in the fenced area separating the public from airport property.

The two fences are about a 1 ½ feet apart on the airport’s west side near the Van Wyck Expressway. No flights were interrupted by the incident.
