Dashed Hopes in Desperate Search: Missing Boy’s Body Found in Ya’ar Yerushalayim.

Israeli police say that a body has been found in the Ya’ar Yerushalayim, where Aaron Sofer z’l disappeared last week.

Authorities are conducting forensic testing to determine the cause of Sofer’s petira.

Police, Hatzalah, ZAKA and hundreds of volunteers have been searching intensely for Aaron Sofer, 23, a yeshivah boy from Lakewood, New Jersey who had been learning in Eretz Yisrael, since his disappearance last Friday while hiking in the forest.
Dozens of Tefillah and chizuk gatherings have been held through the Jewish world to daven for his safe return. The name Aaron ben Chuldah was in the hearts — and on the lips — of all Jews throughout the world, davening and undertaking extra mitzvos as a zechus for his
safe return.

The tragic news has been met with great sadness and mourning throughout Klal Yisrael.
