Some Corona Being Recalled for Glass Particles

(Chicago Tribune/MCT) —

The maker of Corona Extra is recalling some of the beer in 12-ounce bottles because it may contain small glass particles.

The recall includes bottles that are included in select six-pack, 12-pack and 18-pack packages with certain product codes located on the neck of the bottle and on the side panels of cardboard cartons. Constellation Brands, which makes the beer, said the recall impacts less than 1 percent of the Corona that is currently on the market.

The company is urging consumers to check the 8-digit alphanumeric product code and throw the beer away if the product code matches the recall list. Consumers can also call the company’s product line and request a reimbursement.

The codes included in the recall can be found at https://coronausa.com/recall.

Constellation Brands Beer Division said it had not received reports of injuries related to the glass.
