Excitement was in the air on the last day of the camp season, as Harav Mattisyahu  and Rebbetzin Salomon arrived for their sixth annual visit to Camp HASC.

In a beautiful display of Kvod haTorah, the Camp HASC gym was filled with hundreds of special campers, staff and family members to greet the Mashgiach, shlita, of Beth Medrash Govoha.

The scene at the camp was heartwarming and emotional, as everyone lined up to wish shalom to the Mashgiach and Rebbetzin, who lovingly and patiently bentched each camper and staff member individually, offering divrei brachah and encouragement, and tearfully declaring: “it is such a zechus for us to be here.”

Turning to the dedicated staff members, the Mashgiach declared: “you are the malachei hashareis!”

Welcoming the Mashgiach and Rebbetzin were camp director Reb Shmiel Kahn, Harav Shlomo Stern, noted askan Reb Avrohom Eisner, executive director Rav Judah Mischel and dozens of staff members and their families.

An avid supporter of Camp HASC, Rav Salomon has shared his admiration for the campers in HASC with the HASC community repeatedly over the years.

They “are heilige neshamos and everything that you, the staff, are doing brings such nachas to the Ribbono shel Olam … this visit gives me chizuk for the whole year … I am sure that in the time of Geulah, the Moshiach will stop here first … When you meet him, please remember me, and tell Moshiach that I am a friend of HASC too.”
