100 NY Families Get Restitution in Schools Case


About 100 Chinese immigrant families on Monday received $25,000 in restitution after three schools in Brooklyn abruptly closed in August 2013, right before the school year. Many of them had already paid in advance for Chinatown Outreach Ministry schools. The owners were arrested a few weeks later in a motel in Syracuse.
