With Tumbling Polls, Obama Gets Town Center Name

WILLINGBORO, N.J. (AP) —

(AP) – Willingboro’s township council approved the resolution on Tuesday, with Councilman Chris Walker saying it was an opportunity to “pay homage” to Obama, not a slight to Kennedy. He noted that the center is on John F. Kennedy Way.

However, some residents objected, saying they should have a say in changing the name.

Obama’s approval numbers tumbled to 40 percent in an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released Tuesday, with a disapproval rating of a record 54 percent.
