Protests Greet Sen. Reid at NJ Fundraiser

New Jersey Republicans turned a Democratic campaign fundraiser featuring Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid into a rallying point for local candidates.
More than 100 people protested outside the event Monday at a Cherry Hill restaurant, which was intended to raise money for state Sen. Donald Norcross, who is running for Congress. Tickets were advertised at $2,600 each.
Norcross’s GOP opponent, Garry Cobb, and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Bell said voters should elect candidates who are not tied to Reid.
