Woodchuck Startled Driver Who Crashed Into Teen

SYRACUSE, N.Y.

It was a woodchuck who scared a Syracuse teenager to jump on the road where he was critically injured by a passing car, The Post-Standard reported. Phillip Lloyd, 18, was walking on a grass path on July 11 when he was startled by the animal and jumped into the road to avoid it. His critical condition has since been upgraded to fair.
