Contract Award for Wider Garden State Parkway

Another section of the Garden State Parkway is getting an extra lane in southern New Jersey with a $41.3 million contract awarded to a company to add a third lane and widen the shoulders, the Associated Press reported. Work is slated to begin after Labor Day and be finished by August 2017.
