High Cost Field Hospital Treated Only 18 Patients

The State of Israel invested a huge sum of money in constructing a field hospital to treat the wounded from the Gaza Strip. But yesterday the army disclosed that to date, just…18 wounded Palestinians have sought treatment there. Nearly 50 Israeli medical personnel, including doctors, paramedics, technicians and other professionals have been left with nothing to do, while they remain exposed in an area where there are constant hits by missiles and mortar shells fired from the Strip.

Apparently Palestinian policemen in the Strip stop families taking their wounded to the Israeli hospital and threaten that they will harm them if they hospitalize them there. The Palestinians turn back and do not come.

Hamodia’s reporter adds that Israel prepared a large shipment of humanitarian medications for chronically ill patients in the Gaza Strip, worth one million shekels, but Hamas rejected the offer to receive the delivery free of charge.
