Feds Want October Start Trial For New York Congressman
Federal prosecutors want to start Rep. Michael Grimm’s tax evasion trial in October, a month before Election Day, the Staten Island Advance reported. The New York Republican has been indicted on 20 counts for allegedly evading taxes while running a small Manhattan restaurant. An acquittal would help him in his reelection against Democrat Dominic Recchia.
