Boy Falls Off Cliff, Caught by Tree

A 12-year-old boy survived falling off a 300-foot cliff by getting snagged on a tree part of the way down, The Associated Press reported. The boy was hiking along the edge of a wooded cliff near a salt mine in Lansing Monday afternoon when he fell about 50 feet. After getting caught on a tree, he used his cellphone to call 911. He is being treated for cuts and bruises.
